Welcome to Football Predictions.org

This is the new online predictions, based on the longstanding paper versions that Steve Robs has been running since 1992. Times change and we must change with them, so please be patient and loyal and we can hopefully  emulate the game online and slowly add different features as we go.  For the up and coming World Cup and 2010 / 2011 football league season, you can hopefully choose to do it through the traditional method (hard copy) or through the website and then print off a copy for yourself. Both cost £5 and all the money put into the same pot.  Money recieved  will pay for any web based expenses, provide prize money (usually £100 for 1st, £50 for 2nd and £25 for 3rd) and also a decent lump sum to a local junior football club (usually about £100+). Twenty people have chosen to fill it in and pay on-line over the last 3 competitions with no problems. The payment is secure, using "PayPal" which is the same as Ebay. Hopefully this will increase this year.

This on-line method will not be perfect straight away but neither was the paper version when it originally came out, but as we go along I will listen to suggestions and ideas and taylor the site to how the users think it will work best. Hopefully we can make this work so you can have fun and the kids can get money for their football club.

Regards

Robs

Season 2009 / 2010

Congratulations to A. Holt (Salty) who claimed first prize and wins the £100. Dewi Thomas takes second place and £50. Steve Hughes shows his Dad the way and takes third spot and £25. Llyr Roberts shows that the youngsters can compete and took home £5 for 3rd place. At 10 years old I think he may be the youngest person to come in the top 4 although Shaun Thomas (Euro 2000) and Kieran Thomas (Season 1998 / 1999) may argue with that!! Thank you to all who took part and hope you have a go at the World Cup Predictions and also try again next season.

World Cup 2010

Hi,
well it's over again for another 4 years. Congratulations to Keith Hughes (Anglesey Aluminium), Mo & Laura Pritchard, David (Smurf), Bob Jones (c/o Vaults) and Andrew Roberts (Watkin Jones) who took the prizes. Commiserations to Paul Edwards. It could have been so different for Kev Hughes (Wylfa) if Arjen Robben had chipped the advancing  keeper as he was challenging for 1st place and had Holland to win and Spain as Runners-up. Better luck next time.
The real winners were Amlwch Junior Football Club who gained a donation of £350. Thank you for your support once again and hopefully you will join in with the Season 2010 / 2011 sheet. If you've put in a  sheet for the World Cup it will be returned with a 2010 / 2011 Season sheet in the next few weeks. If you are not from the Anglesey area and wish to have your marked World Cup sheet returned, please drop me a email with your address and I'll get it sent off. The new Season predictions sheet will be available on-line at www.footballpredictions.org in the next few weeks. Thank you all once again.
