Welcome to Football Predictions.org
This is the new online predictions, based on the longstanding paper versions that Steve Robs has been running since 1992. Times change and we must change with them, so please be patient and loyal and we can hopefully emulate the game online and slowly add different features as we go. For the up and coming 2008-2009 football league season, you can hopefully choose to do it through the traditional method (hard copy) or through the website and then print off a copy for yourself. Both cost £5 and all the money put into the same pot. Money recieved will pay for any web based expenses, provide prize money (usually £100 for 1st, £50 for 2nd and £25 for 3rd) and also a decent lump sum to a local junior football club (usually about £100+). Sixteen people have chosen to fill it in and pay on-line over the last 3 competitions with no problems. The payment is secure, using "PayPal" which is the same as Ebay. Hopefully this will increase this year.
This on-line method will not be perfect straight away but neither was the paper version when it originally came out, but as we go along I will listen to suggestions and ideas and taylor the site to how the users think it will work best. Hopefully we can make this work so you can have fun and the kids can get money for their football club.

Euro 2008
Congratulations to Alan Jukes (YSTJ) who was well clear of the field in the end for the Euro 2008 Predictions. Spend you £100 wisely!! Possibly a good night out and a curry - the rest you can waste!! Well done to Aled Lastra who came second with a late surge - £50 to him followed by Phil Byast and John Glyn who shared the spoils for third place - £12.50. Rob Evans will hopefully have a another go for Season 2008 / 2009 - things can only get better!!
Season 2008 / 2009
The new season is under way and the latest table can be found on the "Latest Updates"
Kieran Thomas and Shaun Merv lead the way at these early stages. Both have a question or 2 correct, however Mark Williams and Glynn Jones have the most points for their league positions.
As you would expect no-one guessed that Wigan would be the first team to score 5 however 33 participants predicted
Hull
would be the first team to concede 5.
No-one managed to pick out Agbonlahor to score the 1st hat-trick.
21 people thought they’d had 10 points when it looked like Kevin Keegan had gone only to find Alan Curbishley had beaten him too it. 18 people were right in choosing the West Ham Manager. Looking forward to the next question it looks like 48 people are going to miss out on
Hull
being bottom at Christmas. Another 35 of you are looking good with Stoke, 3 with Wigan, 2 with Fulham and 1 with
Bolton
.
Good luck. There will be another update just after Christmas.
